Acquisition of the company Dihart AG, based in Dulliken, Switzerland; extension work carried out at KOMET of America.

KOMET (UK) Ltd. was set up in Great Britain; KOMET's 75th anniversary

Production started at KOMET's new manufacturing plant in Chicago.

KOMET Werkzeuge Ges.m.b.H., the Austrian distribution company, was established in Vienna.

KOMET S.a.r.l.#, a distribution company in France, was set up.

The production facilities at the Besigheim site were increased to 5,000 sq. m.

USA: a distribution company was set up; a manufacturing joint venture was started.

KOMET Utensili S.r.l.#, the Italian distribution company, was set up.

The company's founder died at the age of 88. In his will he set up a charitable foundation and his share of the company was transferred into this.

KOMET moved its headquarters to Besigheim.

KOMET Stahlhalter GmbH, the sales company, was established.

Robert Breuning took over an engineering factory in Fellbach near Stuttgart.
