KOMET GROUP's IDEEN-FABRIK+ now with AZWV certificate
The German Federal Labour Office promotes participation in seminars at the IDEEN-FABRIK+
Certification of the IDEEN-FABRIK+ according to AZWV (recognition and accreditation regulation for further education) demonstrates the high standing of the KOMET GROUP as an educational provider. Only recently, certified seminars are now also offered for professional training in technical subjects relating to processes involved in metal machining such as continuous drilling, boring, precision boring, reaming and threading, in accordance with the Recht der Arbeitsförderung (German employment promotion law).
A creative exchange of ideas and professional training in all aspects of bore machining with the aim of permanent process optimisation in production are the central missions of the IDEEN-FABRIK+, which was founded in August 2008.The KOMET GROUP has devoted an area of more than 2,000 m² to this and thereby made an active contribution to establishing Germany as a centre for education and science. “Tools + Ideas” are the central topics from both a theoretical and practical point of view. “Companies from Germany and from overseas send their employees to us in order to make better use of tools and learn new technologies and procedures which they can then use to improve their own machining processes”, explains Frank Stahl, Head of the IDEEN-FABRIK+ , pleased with the way things have developed over the last few months.
The unique expertise gained from drilling, i.e. internal machining, which is the top tier when it comes to chip machining, allows the IDEEN-FABRIK+ to see far beyond their own product range and look into complementary subject areas such as measurement technology. “The emphasis is on manufacturing procedures and visionary technologies from which everyone involved in metal machining can benefit”, explains Stahl, again pointing out the product neutrality of the seminar topics in this regard. A current topic schedule can be found at http://www.kometgroup.com/ideas-navigation/ideas/ideen-fabrik.html.
Recognised quality
The high quality standards and the objective of providing efficient and market-relevant events in the field of metal and bore machining have now led to the AZWV certification of the IDEEN-FABRIK+ and therewith to the approval of measures for the promotion of professional training according to German employment promotion law. In fact, educational providers are no longer accredited by the local Arbeitsamt (Employment Office), as they were before, but only by specialist organisations. “As well as general quality systems, teaching space, training media, teaching staff, teaching methods and programme content are also examined”, explains Stahl. This accreditation has meant that IDEEN-FABRIK+ seminars can benefit education voucher holders, short-time staff and older workers from smaller businesses. Participants who are still seeking work can also receive better qualifications. IDEEN-FABRIK+ graduates are more attractive to the employment market and are capable of faster integration after short-time working.
Up-to-date training attracts participation
What companies who send their staff to the IDEEN-FABRIK+ particularly value is that the seminars are up-to-date, as a result of continuously observation of the labour market. Collecting and evaluating market-relevant data helps to constantly improve the seminars which are provided. This includes the analysis of the developments and requirements of the labour market, especially in regions where the action programmes are to be offered. Figures and data from external sources such as the VDMA (German Engineering Federation) or the Bundesagentur für Arbeit (Federal Agency for Employment) and other employment agencies are regularly included in this information. However, information from internal sources is also vitally important. For example, regional sales managers, field staff, meetings with customers or informal contacts can provide important feedback. In order to integrate the results of labour market observations and data analyses into the training concept and seminar programmes, discussions known as “idea meetings” are regularly held, which include a wide-ranging selection of participants. In this way, it may, for example, be found that a demographic change requires a greater number of requalified older workers or that a positive growth in employment increases the need for specific action programmes. Trends in relation to new substances, materials and manufacturing methods or processes have a direct effect on the range of seminars and the programmes. Reacting quickly to changing circumstances or general conditions in the labour market makes the IDEEN-FABRIK+ particularly attractive.
The high level of lecturer qualifications also demonstrates the relevance of the seminar programmes. All course instructors have outstanding teaching skills, an appropriate specialist background and many years of professional experience. Only the most modern of methods and media technology are used to provide the training.
Summary
Certification of the IDEEN-FABRIK+ according to AZWV and the approval of measures for the promotion of professional training according to employment promotion law demonstrates the high quality of the training concepts and course programmes. Further training, using expertise in the premium sector of chip machining and qualified training staff, is now also being provided to specialist workers who, within a programme of advancement out of unemployment or short-time working, wish to permanently improve their chances in the employment reintegration process.
