KOMET^® KUB^® Drillmax XL version

The KOMET^® KUB^® Drillmax high-performance solid carbide drills complete the KOMET GROUP's range of products for small bore diameters. Thanks to the new XL design, standard solutions are now also available for deep hole drilling. 

The previous KOMET^® KUB^® Drillmax product range covered diameters from 3.0 to 16.0 millimetres with length/diameter ratios of 5 x D and 8 x D. Optimised, special flutes enable ideal chip removal and extremely productive machining.. Hole tolerances of IT9 can be achieved. For the new XL variants, the tool geometry was further modified to suit the requirements of deep hole drilling. In addition, the tools were subjected to a special surface treatment and given a special coating which had already proved its worth on  KOMET^® special tools for deep hole drilling. Furthermore, the tools were given 4 guide chamfers to ensure great drilling and alignment precision. In the case of the new KOMET^® KUB^® Drillmax XL, know-how from several special solutions has been incorporated into a standard tool range which is available ex stock for 20 x D in diameters ranging from 3.0 to 10.0 millimetres and for 30 x D in diameters ranging from 3.0 to 8.0 millimetres.
