Premium cutting tools for the aerospace industry


KLENK has been manufacturing carbide cutting tools since 1959 and joined the CERATIZIT Group in 2015. The core competence is in special tools for drilling, countersinking, reaming and milling – for example for the machining of carbon-fibre reinforced plastics (CFRP), titanium and aluminium alloys or steels.

The company specialises primarily in products for the aerospace industry – KLENK supports its customers with completely unique solutions tailored specifically to their application. KLENK brings in-depth specialist knowledge of the aerospace industry to the new Team Cutting Tools. Quality tools for machining CFRP, titanium, aluminium and steel are the Klenk speciality

Jacques Lanners is Chairman of the CERATIZIT Group and has been working with the Luxembourg-based carbide experts for more than 35 years. During his time at the company, he founded subsidiary CERATOOL and was primarily responsible for its construction. He was also involved in the merger of Cérametal and Plansee-Tizit in 2002 – the resulting CERATIZIT Group was able to triple its turnover under his leadership. In 2010 he had key involvement in the preparation and signing of the CB-CERATIZIT Joint Venture agreement in Asia. Jacques Lanners is leading the family enterprise in its third generation and has four children.
